Animation Test and The Kingdom Signage

While wrapping up my role as the motion design directoron Spies In Disguise, I was asked to jump on board the Nimona production and come up with some initial look dev and motion graphic exploratory. Below is the very first sequence created for the film! I was responsible with creating the motion design transformation graphics along with the design of the holographic billboards sprinkled throughout The Kingdom as Nimona flies away.

This concept design was for the center scoreboard in The Kingdoms Glorodome Arena! Designed with the super talented Tyler Carter.

Another early design and motion test while at Blue Sky Studios. This FUI layout was designed with shape language inspired by medieval stained glass windows. This sequnce serves to support the current story point of the movie, when Nimona is first on the run from The Kingdom Police Department, which is in hot persuit of Nimona and the taxi she’s escaping in.
